The Cuvée Royale Réserve pays tribute to the ancestors of the Philipponnat family: vineyard owners, winemakers, suppliers to King Louis XIV, magistrates and royal mayors of Ay. This cuvée offers a beautiful balance between structure in the mouth, length and vinosity.

The first nose gives off fragrances of vine flowers, lime blossom and fresh, slightly toasted bread. The bouquet becomes more complex with aeration, with notes of red fruit, citrus and honey.A beautiful attack precedes a fruity mouth (redcurrant, raspberry, ripe grape), ample, structured and persistent.

The finish seduces with its delicious notes of biscuit and freshly baked bread.This Cuvée Royale Réserve Brut by Philipponnat comprises a blend of Pinot Noir (65%), Chardonnay (30%) and Pinot Meunier (5%).

The first press is composed in majority of Grands and Premiers Crus. 20 to 30% of reserve wines vinified using the Solera method and aged in oak complete the blend.
